Dexter, Maine - Catherine S. 'Kay' Quirion, 93, died on May 24, 2018, at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. Kay was born on Nov. 20, 1924, in Mattawamkeag, Maine. She was the fifth of seven children of Edward and Roseanna (Beaudoin) Quirion. She grew up in Lakeview and Brownville Jct., Maine.

After high school graduation, she went to nursing school. She then moved to Dexter where she worked at Fayscott for over 20 years. She also worked at the Sterling Hotel and the Dexter school system. Kay was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and was active in the Daughters of Isabella. Kay loved animals and had many cats. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Hibbard Nursing Home for their wonderful care and attention.

Kay is survived by a brother, Edward and his wife, Marjorie, of Port Charlotte, FL; a brother-in-law, Earl Richard of Dexter, and sister-in-law, Jane Quirion, of FL, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Kay was predeceased by her brothers, Oliver and Lorenzo, and sisters, Donalda Cleaves, Annette Robichaud, and Mildred Richard.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with Deacon Dave Denbow officiating. Those who wish may make donations in Kay's memory to the Bangor Humane society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave. Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements are in care of Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
