Benedicta, Maine - With a life marked by deep faith, unwavering devotion to her family, and a selfless commitment to caring for others, Catherine Duffy passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026. Born on July 29, 1950, Cathy was raised in Benedicta, where she grew up with nine siblings.

As a young girl, she spent many falls working in her grandfather's potato fields, experiences that helped shape the strong work ethic that would define her lifetime. Summers were often spent at the family camp on Perry Pond, a place that would remain close to her heart throughout her life and become the setting for countless treasured memories with family and friends. A member of the first graduating class of Katahdin High School, Cathy went on to pursue a career in nursing, dedicating herself to the care and well-being of others. She also played an integral role in helping her late husband, Randy Cyr Sr., successfully operate his woods contracting business, all while raising their children and never missing their school or sporting events. A faithful parishioner of St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Cathy lived her faith through her actions every day. She was a woman of grace and quiet strength. Her caregiver's heart extended well beyond her immediate family, making her a matriarch to many who hold her in the highest regard.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Terry Duffy; her children, Julie (Mike) DeTour, Deb Cyr, Randy (Amy) Cyr, and Jason (Tiffany) Cyr; her grandchildren, Braeden (Lacey) DeTour, Emma (Drew) Cyr, Logan (Kenzie) Ellis, Jacob (Nibeni) Cyr, Riley (Hannah) DeTour, Ellie Cyr, Addie Cyr, Chase Cyr, and Camden Cyr; and her great-granddaughter, Everleigh DeTour. She is also survived by her seven siblings, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and extended family members and friends who were blessed by her love and kindness. She deeply valued these relationships, and it has brought us great comfort to hear the many stories and expressions of love, a true testament to the profound impact she made in others' lives. Cathy was predeceased by her first husband of 33 years, Randy Cyr Sr.; her parents, Eugene and Linnie Robinson; and her brothers, Joey and Steven Robinson.

We will forever treasure the countless days spent at Perry Pond with generations of family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and especially music that echoed across the water and created memories that will last a lifetime. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who have gone before her and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.
