Carmel, Maine - Casey E. Lewis, 39, passed unexpectedly at her home on April 17, 2022. She was born March 11, 1983, to Wendy Lewis and David Goulet in Bangor.

Casey was an artist with many facets. She wrote poetry, short stories, had a unique drawing ability, was a beautiful singer, and had many solos throughout her school years. At 10 years old Casey was chosen to sing with a select number of Students in circle the state with song. Casey shared her love of science with her grandpa and was never afraid to pick up bees, snakes, or turtles to name a few, just to get a closer look.

Casey graduated from high School in 2001 with high honors, and thereafter worked in various places in healthcare. In 2005 she enrolled at Southern Maine Community College. Casey made the Dean's List and was invited to join Phi Theta Kappa. In 2010 she was awarded the degree in Associates in Art.

Surviving in addition to her mother, Wendy E. Lewis of Carmel, are her grandmother, Sandra Lewis of Hampden; her uncle, Daniel Lewis of Bangor; and her great-aunt, Chloe Libby and uncle, Jerry Libby of Carmel.
