Sherman, Maine - Carroll "Snuffy" Birmingham, 87, husband of the late Coradene Drew Birmingham, passed away on October 24, 2025, in Bangor. He was born January 19, 1938, in Crystal, the son of Carl and Ida (Strait) Birmingham.
Carroll enlisted in the U.S. Army in February 1955 and was a proud veteran. He worked in the woods most of his life and retired as part of the woodlands department of Great Northern Paper. In his free time he enjoyed watching the Red Sox play ball and going bird hunting in the fall.
He is survived by his children: his daughter, Debbie Perkins and her husband, Mark, of Sherman, and a son, Scott Birmingham of Sherman; his grandchildren, Stephen Johnson and his wife, Liz, of Assonet, MA, and Lacey Perkins-Kelly and her husband, Patrick, of Burlington, MA; his great-grandchildren, Samuel, Desmond, and Logan. He is also survived by his sisters, Jeanie Kuzmic, Sharon and her husband, Leroy Deans; and sister-in-law, Monda Drew; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Coradene Drew Birmingham; his brother, Donnie Birmingham; sister-in-law, Lois Birmingham; brothers-in-law, Carl Drew and Steve Kuzmic; his good friend, "Bub" Raymond McNally; and many other friends.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Washburn Memorial Church, 3 Church St., Sherman, with a funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dana Rioux officiating.
