Corinna, Maine - Carl E. Thurlow moved to his eternal home on December 11, 2025 at home with his family at the age of 99 years. He was born December 22, 1925, in Hiram, Maine, the son of John and Cassie (Henderson) Thurlow.

He worked at Faye & Scott in Dexter, Maine, for about 40 years until his retirement. He loved working in the woods and cut cedar up until the age of 83. He was also the go-to guy for much of the family when mechanical repair was needed, especially lawn mowers. He was a long-time member of the Full Gospel Church of Exeter and was one of the original builders of the church building.

He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Faloon and husband, Elmer, of Corinna; two grandsons, Chris Faloon and wife, Jodie, of Exeter and Shawn Faloon and wife, Heather, of Corinna; one sister-in-law, Norma Thurlow of Washington state; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marie, in 1999; and two brothers, Herbert and John Thurlow of Washington state. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Soul's Harbor Ministries, P.O. Box 275, Corinth, ME 04427. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. with a service immediately following at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Exeter Full Gospel Church, 1741 Exeter Rd., Exeter, ME, with the Rev. Chris Faloon officiating. A gathering will follow and all are welcome. A spring committal will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Village Cemetery, Stetson Road, Corinna.
