Pittsfield, Maine - PITTSFIELD - Caleb Joseph Littlefield died unexpectedly on February 25, 2025, doing what he loved. He was born January 13, 1994, in Waterville, the son of Dana and MaryBeth (Bowen) Littlefield.

He graduated from Nokomis Regional High School, class of 2012. At the time of his death, he was an NCCO crane operator for IUOE Local 4 working in Maine and across the country, where he had truly found his passion in life. Caleb lived his life in the fast lane but always slowed down just enough to ask his wife, Meaghan, to "sign his permission slip." Caleb was the most loving, kindhearted, devoted, and loyal friend to many. He was a "night owl," always volunteering to work nights or staying up late socializing with friends. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Corinthian #95.

He loved anything with a motor and his newfound love for autocross. At the age of 10, he learned with help from his "Uncle Brian" to perform 360-degree spins on a kneeboard. Caleb's love for the outdoors began at age 4 as he, his brother, and father would get up early and fish many lakes in Maine and make annual trips to Quebec. He loved hunting and spending time during November at the family hunting camp, "Hop Inn," but his life changed when he hunted in Saskatchewan with his brother and father, and bagged the "buck of a lifetime."

He is survived by his wife, Meaghan; daughter, Iris; his soul dog, Bear; parents, Dana and MaryBeth; brother, Collin; grandmother, Christie; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his many friends that had become family. Caleb loved his family and friends more than anything, and had a way of drawing people together in a moment's notice for food, drinks and a good time. His garage was his happy place and the location of many get-togethers and wrenching on anything he could get his hands on. He inherited being a "worry wart" from his mother, always more concerned about his friends and family than himself.

His sense of humor and wit was unmatched, and he really did have a heart made of gold, willing to drop anything at any time for anyone. As Caleb would always ask, "Do you have big plans today?" So, in true Caleb fashion, don't think, just do. Go grab some drinks, snacks, fire up a grill and make big plans with your friends and family!

A service will be held on Friday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at Irving Tanning Community Center, 62 Elm St., Hartland, ME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sebasticook Valley FCU, for a college fund for Iris in memory of Caleb.
