PALERMO - PALERMO - Bruce A. Evans, 61, passed away June 27, 2011, at Togus. He was born Dec. 5, 1949, in Belfast, to Carl and Carlene (Gordon) Evans. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam era. He worked for EmBee Cleaners for many years and for Little River Apparel. He played baseball for 22 years with the YMCA League and was an avid football fan of the Patriots. Bruce enjoyed hunting and NASCAR, and was an avid fisherman. He loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father; mother-in-law, Ruth Taylor; and son-in-law, Bruce Chipman. Bruce is survived by his wife, Connie Evans of Palermo; his children, Erin Armstrong and husband, Jason, of Searsmont, Bruce Daniel Evans and companion, Ashley Bonin, of Swanville and Amanda Lynn Evans and companion, Kevin McGary, of Belfast; his mother, Carlene Hall of Belfast; his siblings, Pauline Butler and husband, Charlie, of California, Alan Evans of Searsport and Mark Gardiner of Glenburn; 17 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Bonnie and Wayne Ladd, and Arlene and Lou Fuller. Family and friends are invited to call 4-6 p.m. with a service 5 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, with the Rev. Ed Hatch officiating.
