Brewer, Maine - Brian Douglas Burt, 67, went home to Jesus on January 14, 2026, after an acute illness resulting from his battle with inclusion body myositis.
He is survived by his wife, Debby (Rice) Burt; children, Katie (Todd) Conner, Kelsey (Scott) DeLong, and Sam (Julie) Burt; grandchildren, Espen, Jasper, Elizabeth, Bennet, and Arthur; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Jewel Burt; in-laws, Vernon and Irma Rice; brother, Gary Burt; sister-in-law, Carol Rice; and baby granddaughter, Sadie Jane Conner.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. at Discover Church in Hampden, ME, on February 7. Condolences may be made and service details found at SimpleCremationofMaine.com.
