Glenburn, Maine - Brady Shay Murray, 26, of Glenburn, left us unexpectedly on June 23, 2025. Born on March 1, 1999, to Kelley Harper and Jon Murray, Brady was an old soul and wise beyond his years.

He was kind and soft spoken and had a smile that could light up any room. His dry sense of humor never failed to make us laugh. He was loved by all who knew him. Brady had many interests and talents. He loved all animals and dreamed of owning a farm full of chickens. He enjoyed being outside, especially hiking and fishing. He collected books, instruments, antique electronics, and had various trinkets that were special to him. He enjoyed traveling and loved New York City. He had fond memories of family road trips, game night, and his mom's homemade cooking. An extremely talented musician, Brady found joy and expression through both guitar and piano. He shared a close bond with his brother, Carter, through their love of music and guitars. He treasured the memories of seeing Metallica, live, twice, with his dad, a shared passion they both cherished. Brady was very intelligent and was knowledgeable in history, music, culture and language. He had an affinity for Russia from a young age and in recent years had become fluent in the Russian language and was making plans to visit the country. Brady was a perfectionist and excelled in everything he attempted. He was employed at Spectrum and was actively enrolled in college courses, driven to grow both professionally and personally.

Brady leaves behind his loving girlfriend, Alyssa; his mother, Kelley and her partner, Ralph; his father, Jon and his wife, Shannon; his brother, Carter; and his maternal grandmother, Glenice. He also leaves behind his two favorite cats, Zoey and Sasha; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, whose lives were better for having known him. He was predeceased by his mamie, Louise White; his papa, Henry Harper; and his uncle, Tony Woodard.

Brady, your absence leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled, and the world will always be dimmer without you in it. My lyubim tebya seyches i vsegde, (we love you now and always).

A celebration of Brady's life will be held Sunday, July 6, at 1 p.m. at Jeff's Catering in Brewer.
