Bowdoinham, Maine - Bonnie Louise Sawin Broome, 82, of Bowdoinham, Maine, entered into the presence of the Lord, June 4, 2025, at Maine Medical Center. Bonnie was born in 1943 in Westfield, New York, to Marion and Albert Sawin. She lived a life filled with faith, love, and devotion to her family and community.

Bonnie graduated from Ripley Central School and later attended Jamestown Business College, where she studied business. It was in her early years that she met her beloved husband, James N. Broome. Together, they built a life centered on family and faith. Bonnie dedicated herself to raising their three children and, after they left home, worked at Walmart in Presque Isle, Maine, until her retirement in 2009. A woman of deep faith, Bonnie served God wholeheartedly through her involvement in local churches, most recently as a cherished member of the Second Baptist Church of Bowdoinham. Known for her warm embraces and her commitment to her family, Bonnie touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness

Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, James N. Broome; her daughters, Lynn M. Valentin (Bert) and Christine L. Foster (Scott); her son, Jamie A. Broome (Belinda); her grandchildren, Angelina Valentin, Albert Valentin, Marion Rossignol (Mike), Ashley Ouellette (Josh), Tylor Broome, and Robecca Ledue (Sam); her great-grandchildren, Chase Brewin, Kamden Rossignol, and Elena Rossignol; her brother, Robert Sawin (Shawn); and her sister, Debi Williams.

A memorial service to celebrate Bonnie's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Second Baptist Church in Bowdoinham, Maine. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a local food pantry in Bonnie's memory, honoring her spirit of giving.
