Bucksport, Maine - Blanche L. Daigle Buzzell, 85, passed away peacefully July 28, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family. Blanche was born August 21, 1940, in Plainfield, NJ, the daughter of Odie and Esther Wilson.

After graduating from high school, she served in the U.S. Navy WAVES and then married and raised her children. Blanche was a loving wife and mother. She was also a small business owner, operating Village Day Care in Bucksport for many years. Later, she obtained her bachelor's degree in mental health and human services and served as a teacher at Special Children's Friends in Ellsworth. Her deep love for children was evident all throughout her life. She was most proud of being a mother, of having the opportunity to love and care for children, and of serving her Lord Jesus.

Blanche is survived by her children, Richard, Jeremy, and Melanie and their spouses; 13 grandchildren; siblings, Mary, Lloyd, and Christine; and many friends and loved ones. Blanche was predeceased by her parents; stepmother, Doris Wilson; sister, Bonnie; husband, Roy Daigle; and husband, Delmar Buzzell.

The family held a private graveside service. Donations may be made to Slavic Gospel Association (sga.org) in Blanche's memory. Arrangements are under the care of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Bucksport. mitchelltweedie-young.com
