Bangor, Maine - Betty Lee Pedersen, 88, peacefully entered into Eternal Life on May 28, 2026, at Stillwater HealthCare. She was born November 18, 1937, daughter of Edith and Earl Jamieson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Pedersen; her parents; and four sisters, Laura Cookson, Eunice Savoy, Ruth Gould, and Jeanette Jackson.
Betty will always be remembered for her infectious smile, love of the ocean and life in Old Orchard Beach. She loved lobster rolls, fruit cake and apple pie. She enjoyed dancing in the living room to all the Lawrence Welk shows.
She will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Cindy McKay and her husband, Irvin, of Kenduskeag, Dana Pedersen and his wife, Sherrie, of Hermon, Susan Pedersen of Corinth, George Pedersen of Corinth, Robert Pedersen and his wife, Lisa, of Corinth; grandchildren, Peter McKay of Corinth, Christy McLain of Corinth, Jack McKay of Framingham, MA, Thomas Pedersen of Dixmont, Alex Pedersen of Eddington, Amanda Barnes of Monroe, Benjamin Arnold of Alaska, Justin Mckay of Kenduskeag, Kyle Pedersen of Corinth, and Emily Pedersen of Corinth. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to send special thanks to the staff at Stillwater Health Care and to St. Joseph Homecare and Hospice for their care and compassion. A heartfelt gratitude goes to Dr. Clifford Singer at the Mood and Memory Clinic at Northern Light Acadia Hospital for years of dedicated service.
A celebration of life will be held June 12, 2026, at Bangor Grande Hotel & Conference Center, 357 Odlin Rd., Bangor from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Please come and share some stories. Burial will follow at Hilltop Cemetery, Black Road, Corinth.
