Glenburn, Maine - Betty Joanne Morrison McGraw, 76, passed away peacefully April 9, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1948, at the Island Falls Hospital, the daughter of Alston and Gertrude (Mclaughlin) Morrison of Dyer Brook, ME.

Betty graduated from Island Falls High School in 1966. She graduated from Central Maine General Hospital in Lewiston, ME, with a diploma of nursing degree in 1969. She also attended Ricker College. She furthered her education and received her bachelor's degree in nursing. Betty married Chet McGraw in 1969, and raised their family in the house they built in Dyer Brook, ME. They were married for 39 years.

Betty is survived by her children, Holly Hogan and her husband, Chuck, of Glenburn, and Kirby McGraw and his wife, Kamila Abeldinova, of Glenburn; her brother, Melvin Morrison and his wife, Karen, of Dyer Brook; her granddaughters, Abby and Lauren Hogan of Glenburn; her sister-in-law, Sheila Nelson and her husband, Rodney, of Travelers Rest, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. David Fox officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the service.
