She was a life-member of the Ladies of St. Ann of Soldier Pond and Fort Kent. Bernadette will be remembered for her hard work, delivering babies, picking and cutting potatoes, cleaning houses, knitting lots of blankets, baking homemade bread, pies, fudge, and peanut brittle. Her family was very proud of her life. She accomplished wonderful memories that she left behind for her family to remember. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Reynold and wife Priscilla Daigle of Presque Isle; three daughters; Pauline Godin of Wallagrass, Betty Ann and husband Clarence Roy of Frenchville, Carline and her husband John Mack of Vernon, CT; one sister, Carmen Theriault, two daughters-in-law Yvette and Kady Daigle, 24 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Emile Daigle in 1978, two sons; Richard and Lester Daigle, eight sisters; Lucianne Bouchard, Gloria Nadeau, Germaine Belanger, Tina Dube, Aline Jackson, Theresa Roy, Rita Carrigan and Bernice Michaud; four brothers; David, Willie, Onezime and Bernard Saucier, and one son-in-law Melvin Godin.
Friends may call Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Soldier Pond. Committal services will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Soldier Pond.
Those who wish in Bernadette's memory may make donations to Ridgewood Estates, 480 Ridgeview Avenue, Madawaska, ME 04756, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
