Benjamin M. James
Ben was an amazing young man and endured and overcame so much in his short life of 26 years. At the time of his passing, Ben worked side by side with his Dad at Tim's Barber shop in Newport, Maine. Ben worked so hard to achieve his Barber license through apprenticing with his Dad. It was so clear Ben had found his new calling. He loved his customers and loved what he did. Every day we all saw his confidence and spirit grow and thrive.
Ben's most significant accomplishment was his son, Jacob. Ben grew to be an amazing Dad and loved his 'mini me' without end. At the time of his passing, he was looking forward to his trip to Florida the following week to spend the week with Jacob. Instead, Jacob is traveling to Maine to attend his Daddy's funeral. Ben enjoyed so much exposing Jacob to new things and built some strong, lifelong memories that Jacob will carry with him, while we all continue to keep Ben's memory and spirit alive for Jacob.
Ben loved music passionately, was strong in his political beliefs and could always be a great resource for 'what's really going on'. Ben loved to work out, going to Lupo's gym every day and was extremely disciplined in his approach. Ben loved to eat healthy, knew all the things that you need to avoid in food as well as packaging, and made sure to mention it if he saw you crossing one of his lines. Ben will be missed by his faithful customers, his friends and family, most especially his Mom, Dad, brothers and of course his biggest love, Jacob James
