Armas and I knew each other since 1959. We built go-karts and dirt bikes together, we worked hayfields, farms and cut cord wood together and stayed at each other's homes for lengthy times. We both served in Vietnam together in the Air Force and we both served in the Army later. He was a good, lifelong friend and will be sadly missed. My prayers are for the girls, Gloria and Peggy. May our brother rest in peace.

Armas was a special person. He served in Air Force in the Arctic. He use to call and say that there really wasn't any snow in the Arctic, because before it could hit the ground a 100 MPH wind would blow it away. Later he served in the Army in Vietnam as a mechanic. We spoke often of the difficult times there, but it wasn't until later that I realized how strong a person Armas was as he endured those terrible times and came through it with a strong sense of family and country and was able to move on from it all. A wonderful cousin and friend, I'll miss knowing he is here, but will always remember him.
