Belfast, Maine - Amanda Jo (Libby) Dandro, 46, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, July 8, 2022. Amanda was a gentle, compassionate, thoughtful person with a great sense of humor, who valued family and genuine connection above all else.

Amanda was born in Bangor, on New Year's Day 1976, the first child of Steven and Rhonda Libby. She grew up surrounded by her grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins in Levant. She was an incredibly gifted artist from an early age and pursued her passion while attending John Bapst Memorial High School and Montserrat College of Art, where she met her future husband, Travis Dandro.

Amanda and Travis were married in 1999, and welcomed their three boys Isaac, Wyeth, and Miles in 2000, 2003, and 2010. Amanda was a nurturing and sensitive mother. She was very in-tune with her boys and always put their needs first. She was very active in the local homeschool community where she made several lifelong friends.

Amanda opened Island Farm Kitchen in 2014, and was treasured by her customers at local farmer's markets not only for her exceptional baked goods, but for her kind and genuine nature.

Amanda always had a deep connection with her pets and never was without a dog by her side or a cat in her lap.

Amanda is survived by her husband, Travis Dandro; sons, Isaac Dandro of Bangor, Wyeth Dandro and Miles Dandro of Belfast; parents, Steven and Rhonda Libby of Bangor; brother, Justin Libby and his husband, Max Ward, of Quincy, MA; sister, Ashlee Libby Lynch and her husband, Ryan Lynch, and their children Feleke, Isabella, Reuben, and Thea, of Trenton; mother-in-law, Sheila Dandro of Leicester, MA; brother-in-law, Troy Dandro of Brooklyn, NY; brother-in-law, Brian Dandro and his wife, Mandy, and their children, Parker and Lukas of Bluffton, SC; and dozens of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who meant so much to her.
