Palmyra - Alice Wright Fitts, 88, passed peacefully on December 5, 2017, in Deerfield, NH. Born in 1929 in Pittsfield, Maine, to Harry Wright and Olive Wood Wright, Alice graduated from Maine Central Institute in 1947, attended Husson College, married Lewis Fitts, raised three children, and ran Sebasticook Valley Dairy and the Fitts Family Ice Cream Shop. Alice was affiliated with Bethlehem Chapter #36, Order of the Eastern Star, Grand Chapter of Maine in 1978, MCI alumna, First Baptist Church and the local bowling league. She loved her children and grandchildren, beloved friends, Laforest and Mary Wright, Dave and Beverly Breau, her community, family camp at Moose Pond, family gatherings, Anah Temple Shrine band events and travel. Alice was predeceased by her husband, Lewis Fitts; siblings, Bernice Ames and Lawrence Wright, and is survived by her brother, Laforest Wright; children and spouses, Kirk Fitts and Sandra, Laurie Loosigian and Wayne, Lewis Fitts III (Ross) and Kelly; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and step-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life beginning with an Eastern Star service will take place Sunday, December 10, 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 245 Main St., Pittsfield. Following the service, visitors are invited for refreshments at the Pittsfield Masonic Hall.
