Albenie 'June' Dubey
June was very proud to serve his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Once returning home, he worked for International Paper Co. as a Scaler for over 30 years. He was a member of the VFW Lozier O'Grady Post #9609 and the American Legion Martin-Klein Post #0133 both of Fort Kent.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and gardening. Through the years June adopted 9 homeless cats, which he took great care of. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Patricia (Pelletier) Dubey of Fort Kent. Five children; Augustine and husband Peter Parent of Madawaska, Barry and wife Patricia Dubey of Duck Walk Court, MD, Cynthia and husband Bryant Caron of St. John, Nickey and husband Ronnie Savage of Lubec, ME. Angela Dubey of Lubec, Me. Ten grandchildren: Timmy, Joshua, Matthew, Carrie, Angie, Michelle, Olivia, Peighton, Sterling, Ben, and also by 7 great-grandchildren. Two sisters; Jeanne Johndro of Hartford, CT, and Muriel Gardiner of Boston, MA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents June was predeceased by two brothers Norbert and Fern Dubey.
Friends may call Wednesday, May 17, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 18, 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Thursday, May 18, 2017, at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis. Committal services with full Military Honors will be celebrated in the St. John Catholic Cemetery.
