Alan K. Stuber Obituary
Hermon, Maine - Alan K. Stuber, 72, died unexpectedly, June 29, 2025, at his home. He was born August 12, 1952, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of Robert P. Stuber and Carolyn A. (Denson) Stuber.
Alan graduated from Hermon High School, class of 1970. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. When he was done with the U.S. Army, he began his career with Freightliner of Maine (formerly AJ Cole & Sons). He was formerly married to Cynthia Stuber and they shared two sons. Alan was an avid golfer and spent many hours on the golf course. He formed many lifelong friendships around his favorite past-time. When he wasn't playing golf, he also enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle. Alan retired in 2021 after completing an impressive 51 years at Freightliner of Maine.
Surviving are his sons, Craig Alan Stuber and his wife, Elizabeth, and Brett Alan Stuber and his wife, Danielle; four grandchildren, Chase, Jack, Luke, and Stella Stuber; two brothers, David Stuber and his wife, Donna, of NY, and Jon Stuber of California; two sisters, Sherry Applebee and her husband, Tom, of Glenburn, and Sue Colby and her husband, Ron, of Litchfield, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Alan was predeceased by a brother, Mark.
Alan will also be remembered within the family for always lending a hand when needed in car and home repairs or projects. Within the last five years, Alan spent most of his time caring for his aging mother and her sweet Kitty. After her passing, Alan took Kitty in, and she brought him a lot of company and joy in their time together. They had a special companionship. Most conversations included golf, car washes, and Kitty.
