- Willis A. Green, 70, passed away February 6, 2017, in Houlton. He was born February 4, 1947 in Island Falls, the son of Ossie and Marie Green.
Willis was a loving and caring husband, father, papa, and great papa. He would have been married 50 years to the love of his life, Priscilla (Pratt) Green on March 12th. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War. Willis had a passion for horses, keeping his work horses for many years until he took sick. He worked for the B & A Railroad for 33 years until he had to retire due to heart issues. He enjoyed watching the news and sports and loved watching his grandchildren playing them. His family was his love and they all thought he was the "best".
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Priscilla; his daughters Mable Cummings and her husband, Kevin of Oakfield, Sydney of W.V.; 6 grandchildren, Shelby and Maddie of Oakfield, and Kyle, Shaylyn, Lauren and Kaleb of W.V.; 2 great grandchildren, Josh and Ryleigh of W.V.; his best buddy "Flash" his dog; 2 sisters, Pam and Kenny Carter of Smyrna, Kathy Tarr and husband, Doug of Oakfield; many family members and great friends that will sadly miss him. He was predeceased by his parents; his in-laws, Phillip and Mable Pratt.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 10th, 2017, at Bowers Funeral Home, Sherman Street, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday with Pastor Bell officiating. Spring interment will be in the Oakfield Cemetery.
