CHARLESTON, SC - Willis Atwood Fields, 89, husband of Frances M. Nohrden, entered into eternal rest on April 29, 2015.
A native of St. Johnsbury, VT, he was born February 5, 1926, a son of the late Philomena Turco and Delor Fields.
Upon completion of his education, he began a long career with Moore Tool Company of Bridgeport, CT, where he served with skill as Chief Draftsman. A man of many interests, Mr. Fields enjoyed sailing, classical music, playing the violin, and classic cars, especially his Rolls-Royce, which he brought back from England. He was a loving husband, and a friend to all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife Frances, Willis is survived by his brother, John. He was predeceased by his first wife of 42 years, Laura; and his sister Marie.
Calling hours will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 7, at Riverside Cemetery, Hancock. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Field's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
