Wayne's Story

Winn - Wayne Reginald Thurlow, 74, died unexpectedly October 18, 2016, at his home. He was born November 1, 1941, in Balden, MA, the son of Rollie and Glennis (Crocker) Thurlow. Wayne was a veteran of the US Air Force. He served as selectman for the town of Winn, was a hard worker, and a great, loving father who always put his family first.
He had a great love for X-Country, helping his son, Todd, coach the sport and in his younger years was one of the best runners in the state. He coached Little League for 17 years, and wrote a grant to build the baseball field in Winn. He was also involved in peewee basketball for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie (Palmer) Thurlow; four children, Todd and his wife, Sandra, Eric and his wife, April, Mark and his wife, Abigail and Stephanie Dubay and her husband, Eric; a sister, Jeanne Fogg and her husband, Ray; seven grandchildren, Missy, Kimmy, Josiah, Nathanial, Hunter, Victoria and Raleigh; four great-grandchildren, Hope, Adelie, Ava and Stella. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Steve Thurlow.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 21, at Potter Brook Cemetery, Winn, with the Rev Mark W. York officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.clayfuneralhome.com.
