Walter's Story

BROWNVILLE JUNCTION - Walter E. Lutterell, Jr., 76, died May 14, 2014, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born July 17, 1937, in Brownville Jct., the son of Walter E. Sr., and Gladys H. (Thombs) Lutterell. A U.S. Army veteran, Walter had worked for many years as a mechanic for the Maine D.O.T. He was a gentle and caring man, who would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by a daughter, Virginia A. Soucy and fiance, Dan Oldenburgh, of Ridgecrest, CA; his step-mother, Gloria Lutterell of Milo; four sisters, Barbara Farrar and husband, Leon, of Brownville Jct., Gail Larson and husband, Larry, of Mass., Jayne Sharrow of Dover-Foxcroft, and Martha Kurzius of Dover-Foxcroft; 2 grandchildren, Cory Soucy of California, and Erik Poulin and wife, Brooke, of Lewiston; two great grandsons, Kestin Poulin of Lewiston and Wyatt Johnson of South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Poulin and two brothers, Robert and Perry.

A graveside service will be conducted 11am Tuesday, May 20, 2014, in Pine Tree Cemetery, Brownville Jct. with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Milo. Condolences and memories may be expressed at
