BANGOR - Vivian Bowden, 58, died unexpectedly on April 15, 2015. She was born October 19, 1956, the daughter of the late Urban and Dorothy (MacDonald) Legassie. She was a graduate of the Brewer High School, class of 1975.
Viv truly was one of a kind. She was hilarious, a hard worker and would give a stranger the shirt off of her back. If you knew her, you loved her, and she loved you, you knew it. She was a fantastic cook, loved music, her friends and family, but most of all she loved taking care of people. She was especially proud of her grandchildren. Vivian worked for Dysart's for 20 years, and considered "her kids" there her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Joseph and Paul; and husband, Edward Bowden. She is survived by her children; daughter, Karen Jellison and husband, Matt, of Dedham; and son, Edward Bowden II of Ellsworth; grandchildren, Lucien and Ella Jellison; partner, Charles Boulier; siblings, Cathy, Dorothy, David, Eleanor, Robert, Louise, Edna, Urban, Donna, Patty, John and Victoria; many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
In accordance with Viv's wishes, there will be no service. Those who wish may make a donation in her memory to Wounded Heroes Program of Maine, P.O. Box 1797, Saco, ME 04072.
