- Villa (Dunda) Coolong, 94, wife of the late Ernest Coolong, passed away Nov. 25, 2016, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born April 2, 1922, in East Millinocket, the daughter of Willliam and Edith (Laundsky) Dunda. Villa graduated from Garrett Schenck High School in 1941. In her younger days, she enjoyed hunting and fishing and going to her camp on Silver Lake. She was married to her beloved husband for 64 years. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Winn. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Roger and Terri Coolong; grandchildren, Robert and Rebecca; and great-granddaughter Aspyn.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Potter Brook Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Malo officiating.
