Venita's Story

OLD TOWN - Venita Pauline (Lamb) Seymour, 80, died peacefully March 7, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 23, 1934 in Old Town a daughter of William Lewis and Hazel Mae (Haskell) Lamb.

She was a loving wife, mother, family member and friend. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Stanley Seymour and is survived by four daughters Paula Sanborn of Old Town, Cookie DeWitt and her husband Kirt of Levant, Kim Seymour and her husband Loren Byrne of Bristol, RI, and Robin Seymour of Millheim, PA; three grandchildren Sherry Hayes and her husband Jason, Melisa "Messy" Hatch and her husband Wesley, and Justin DeWitt; four great grandchildren Brittany, Todd, and Matthew Hayes, and Colby Hatch; a sister Doris Austin and her husband Bob, several nieces and nephews and lifelong friend Laura Sanborn.

A special thank you to Hospice of Eastern Maine for the compassionate care and to Paula Sanborn for her loving care of her mother.

Private graveside services will be held at Lawndale Cemetery summer of 2015.
