Truth's Story

BIRCH HARBOR - Truth M. Young, born Sept 25, 2016, lost her battle with cancer on March 23, 2016. Truth was born to Norman A. Farnsworth Sr. and Violet B. Farnsworth. She was predeceased by her father Norman A. Farnsworth Sr.

Truth was always a hard worker and lived life to the fullest. She obtained her CNA and CRMA certification and worked at Narraguagus Estate also worked at Nautica Pub and Chases Restaurant, where she met many friends local and from away. Her present job was at Birch Bay Village, where she worked until she was unable to continue her duties. Her favorite pastime was her horses and you could find her riding every day. She also enjoyed going on vacation with Bruce and many of her closets friends.

Truth is survived by her husband, Bruce Young; mother, Violet Farnsworth of Milbridge; one brother, Norman A. Farnsworth Jr. and wife, Sarah; two sisters, Rachel Newenham of Steuben and Elsie Tracy of Newburgh; many nieces and nephews, and too many friends to list.

We would like to extend a very special thanks to an exceptional person and friend, Cathy Mitchell of Cloumbia Falls, for without her Truth would have been lost. Also special thanks to her niece Dolores Rossi, Birch Bay Village for their exceptional support and help during her fight with cancer, and a special thanks to her fellow workers and staff. Also thanks to MDI Hospital staff.

There will be a celebration of Truth's life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA Hancock County, 141 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton, ME 04605.
