Thomas's Story

MILFORD - Thomas W. Rustin Sr., 69, passed away June 14, 2014 at a local hospital with his family by his side after a long illness. He was born July 7, 1944 in Old Town, the son of Charles and Olive (Gallant) Rustin Jr.

Thomas grew up in Old Town and Milford. He was employed as a trucker driver by James River Inc. of Old Town. Tom was a life member of the Old Town Elks # 1287. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Tom loved hunting season, and spending time at camp in Greenfield.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda (Richards) Rustin; children, Tammy and her husband, Michael Geroux, of Milford, Laurie Nadeau and her fiancé, Stuart, of Milford, Karen and her husband, Matt Pratt, of Milford, Thomas Rustin Jr., of Bangor, and his adopted son, Mark Lebreton and his wife, Laura of Bradley; his mother, Olive Rustin of Brewer; grandchildren, Ashley, Libby, and Amy Geroux, Shane Nadeau, and Adriana Pratt, all of Milford; great-grandchildren, McKayla Geroux, Logan Fitzgerald, and Baby Pratt; two brothers, Joe Rustin and his wife, Sue, of PA., and Charles (Kip) Rustin III, of Bangor; his sister, Carol and her husband, Thomas Snyder, of Old Town; special uncle and aunt, Wesley and Mary Rustin; sister-in-law, Sheila Rustin of Orono; brother-in-law, Rick Richards and his wife, Allison of Bradley; father-in-law, Arthur Richards; sister-in-law, Brenda McAuliffe.

He was predeceased by his father, Charles C. Rustin Jr.; son, Timmy Rustin; two brothers, Peter and Mike Rustin.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Hospital, and Orono Commons for their excellent care and compassion.
