Thelma's Story

STEUBEN - Thelma Woodward MacLean, 73, passed away January 6, 2015 at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Jonesport, December 14, 1941, the daughter of the late Guy and Beatrice (Watt) Woodward.

She was predeceased by her husband, David "Johnny" MacLean Sr. in 2005; 4 brothers-Guy, Keith, Evans, and Homer Woodward; 1 sister- Marie Parker.

She is survived by 2 sons- Scott Ryan of Jonesport and David MacLean Jr. of Steuben; 1 step-daughter-Linda Dunbar; 2 grandsons-Kristofer Ryan of Waldaboro, and Fredrick MacLean of Whitneyville, 7 step-grandchildren- Michael Lenfestey, Britney and Justin Dunbar, Joe and Nick Perreault, Amanda Smith, Dustin Smarrella;2 step-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters- Lucille Backman of Harrington, Lurlene and husband, Charles Morris of Sanford, Nadine Crowley of Addison, and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Thelma's wishes, there will be no funeral. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Steuben Fire House from 12pm noon to 2pm. Arrangements by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home in Ellsworth, ME.
