Terrance's Story

CARY PLANTATION - Terrance "Terry" Anderson, 91, died May 14, 2015, in Houlton, surrounded by his family. He was born December 8, 1923, in Providence, RI, the son of Donald and Althyn (Oliver) Anderson.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII, receiving the Purple Heart during the Italian Campaign on the Gulf of Salerno. He retired from the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad in 1972.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gloria (Devine) Anderson of Cary Plantation; his daughter, Susan Sellers and her husband, Mark, of Naples, Italy; a daughter-in-law, Shirley A Dunn of Phoenix, AZ; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Darryl Dunn, in January 2014; and a sister, Mavis Wiggin.

There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the A.E. Howell Sanctuary, 101 Lycette Road, Amity ME 04471 or the Houlton Humane Society, P.O. Box 548, Houlton ME 04730. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home of Houlton.
