Teresa's Story

ELLSWORTH - Teresa C. Linscott, 83, of Ellsworth, died peacefully June 27, 2014, at her residence with 2 of her sons by her side.

Teresa loved raising her family and being a full time homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and working as a cook at the Ellsworth Middle School for 8 years. She attended Hudson Elementary School. She was also a hairdresser in her younger years after graduating from Eastern Maine Hairdressing Academy.

Teresa was predeceased by her parents, the late Joseph and Annie ( Brasslett) King; her husband, the late Paul M. Linscott; a son, Greg Linscott; and three sisters, Lorraine Hachey of Old Town, Jeanette Robichaud of Old Town and Florence Littlefield of Brewer.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Knight of Dayton, OH, Steven P. Linscott of Sprinfield, IL, Cynthia Linscott of Otis, Allan Linscott of Ellsworth, Dawn Simpson of Surry, Paul J. Linscott of Ellsworth. She is also survived by sisters, Shirley Raymond of Old Town, Donna & Stanley Spencer of Chiliquin, OR.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley lived a 4 day Cursillo weekend at St. Paul's Center in Augusta, ME and is now living her 5th day. Arrangements have been made through Birmingham Funeral Home in Old Town. Visitation and calling hours will be Monday, June 30th from 6pm-8pm at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, with a mass of Christian burial at The Resurrection Parish in Old Town at 10am on Tuesday, July 1st with a graveside service following at St. Josephs Cemetery.
