Lake Havasu City, AZ
- Sylvio M. LaPierre, age 91, husband of the late Valada (Madore) LaPierre passed away June 20, 2017 at Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born May 24, 1926 in Cyr Plantation, Maine, the son of the late Neil and Flavie (Soucie) LaPierre. Sylvio was educated in Van Buren schools. He served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946 during WWII. He then took a business course at Bates College in Augusta, Maine.
He was a member of the Lake Havasu Four Wheeler Club. He was the owner of the Desert Martini in Lake Havasu for many years. He was also a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Marjorie (LaPierre) (Madore) Russell, son-in-law James Russell, grandson Todd Russell and wife Kristi, two great grandsons Andrew and Ian Russell all from Caribou, Maine. He is also survived by three sisters Carmella Soucy and husband Gilbert, Carmen Bruneau, Jeannette Erickson and husband Russell all from Connecticut and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Lori Russell, brothers: Roger, Leopold, Donald, Euclide, Conrad, Gerard and Camille and sisters: Leopoldine and Geraldine.

A grave side service will be at the St. Bruno-St. Remi church cemetery in Van Buren, Maine, at a later date.
