SHERMAN - Susan Lamae Nissley, 65, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 10. She was born March 27, 1949 in Aberdeen, MD, the daughter of Howard and Sarah Atkins.
She married her high school sweetheart, Stephen John Nissley, on April 24, 1970. Susie was a pastor's wife for many years and touched many lives. Her beautiful smile and sweet spirit will always be remembered. She was beloved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed. She dearly loved the Lord she served and is now seeing Him face to face. She leaves behind a godly legacy of 8 children who are all serving the Lord in various states and countries as pastors, missionaries and Christian businessmen. Although our hearts are broken at the loss of our beloved wife and mother, we rejoice knowing she is completely healed and rejoicing with her Savior in Heaven. Only eternity will show the impact Susie had on this world.
