Stuart's Story

EDINBURG - Stuart King died in peace on Saturday November 15, 2014 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born September 21, 1956 in Lincoln, Maine, the fifth son of Leeman and Ruby(Ireland)King.

He was well known for his smile, sense of humor, and caring for family and friends. He enjoyed being home working in his flower garden, making his delicious bean hole beans, and maintaining his vehicles. Most of his activities included his dear friend and neighbor Edward(Posie)Lord. He worked 33 years at the

Diamond International Plant in Passadumkeag. When the mill closed he became interested in the Waste Water Treatment field. He would promote the field to young workers looking for a good career. He was very grateful to

work in Brewer, Veazie, Blue Hill, and Bangor for the past 10 years. He was also known for taking the whole day talking with his trash route customers.

Stuart is survived by his father, Leeman King, brother, Gary King and his partner, Georgie Ketch, Michael King and his partner Ester Jipson, Timothy and Andrea King, Dale King, and his partner, Pamela Leveille, sister, Jill King, and her partner, Thomas Hunter, along with many nieces, nephews and good friends. He is also survived by Diane Gasch his partner of 28 years, and her daughter, Kristy Johnson and her husband, Harold Johnson. He loved her as his own daughter. He was predeceased by his mother, Ruby King, and sister, Wendy King. He also joins his two close friends, David Spencer, and Steve Butler.

Stuart requested no funeral service. A BBQ gathering will be held next spring to celebrate his life with family, friends, and co-workers.
