TONOPAH, NEV. AND BANGOR - Steven Lee Eslin, 68, went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Bangor, May 11, 1948, the son of Robert and Pauline (Libby) Eslin.
Steve graduated from John Bapst Memorial High School and attended the University of Maine. He bravely served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1971. Steve worked for over 20 years at the HoltraChem in Orrington, followed by the Newport Water District. Steven's last job involved starting up power plants as an engineer. He was very dedicated and took such pride in his work.
Steve served the Lord by attending Church as much as possible and cherished his time spent with family and friends. His family was his world.
Steve had several hobbies including hunting, traveling, watching NASCAR and the Patriots and most of all, fishing in the north woods of Maine with his sons, Chad and Brad. He was most happy with a fishing pole in hand.
Steven will be greatly missed by his wife, Susanna; his two sons, Chad, and the mother of his children, Tessa, and Bradford and wife, Katie; his six stepchildren, Jerry, Alesandra and husband, Jon, Wendy, Thomas and wife, Sonya, Daniel and wife, Michelle and Cheryl and husband, Angelo; 15 grandchildren, Rowan, Anna, Gabriel, Gavrie, Emma, Chelsea, Samantha, Mercedes, Xavier, Orin, Naomi, Phnx, Lillian, River and Esme; three great-grandchildren, Zildjian, Izabella and Charlie; his brother, Robert Eslin and wife, Sandra and sister, Cindy Gallant and husband, Mike; his special Aunt Jay and her husband, Reggie; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service honoring Steven's life will be held at a later date.
