Stephen's Story

DEXTER AND ATKINSON, NH - Stephen "Punkie" Howard Philbrik, 46, passed away February 4, 2015, at a Boston hospital. He was born October 6, 1968, in Bangor, the son of Stephen and Susan (Davis) Philbrick. Steve attended Dexter Regional High School and studied welding at Penobscot Job Corps, class of 1988. He had a tremendous love for working on Dennis Blaine's dairy farm, in Dexter, for many years. He had a passion for "modifying" just about anything related to tires and speakers. It never was quite fast or loud enough for Steve. He enjoyed spending time with his closest friends and family, especially sharing stories around a campfire. Steve had a loving and generous heart, giving even after he passed away. He gave the tremendous gift of organ donation.

He leaves behind loving memories to be cherished by his parents; grandfather, Howard Davis; a wife, Melinda, a daughter, Kayla of Dexter; sister Sandy (Philbrick) White, her husband Kenny, and their children, Cody, Jarrod, and Katelynn, all of Cambridge, ME; aunts, uncles, and cousins. Steve will also be remembered by many special friends.

Steve was predeceased by his grandmother, Ila (Clark) Philbrick and Lillian (Leland) Davis.

A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at The Moosehead Trail Motor Lodge in Dexter, ME from 12-2pm.
