FORT KENT - Stella (Deprey) Dubois, 81, died peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2015, surrounded by her family at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born in New Canada, May 11, 1933, the daughter of Auguste and Marie (Doustou) Deprey.
Stella married and is survived by her best friend and love of her life, Clarence Dubois. Together, they lived in Conn. from 1957 to 1978, and had nine children. When they settled in Fort Kent, Maine, she worked for 15 years at Forest Hill Manor. Then they loved and nurtured others in their home before retiring.
Stella was a loving women who loved her family and had many friends.
Stella is survived by her loving husband, Clarence; and her children, David Dubois of Fort Kent, Linda and husband, Gary Scott, of Monmouth, Norma and husband, John Youhess, of Ct., Barbara and husband, David Hannon, of Ct., Clarence Dubois of Ct., and Timmy Dubois and Jennifer Hogan of Fort Kent. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Bernice Pelletier and Jacqueline Caron; along with many special nieces and nephews.
Stella was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Roland, Lewis, Gilbert, Alfee, Richard and Norman Deprey; and her sisters, Margaret Chasse, Jeannette Lizotte, Anne Marie Labonty and Rolande Voisine. She was also predeceased by daughters; Dora and Diane; her son, Steven; and granddaughter, Sarah.
She will be dearly missed by all those whose hearts were blessed by her love.
Friends may call 12 noon Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent.
