Shirley's Story

FORT FAIRFIELD AND CARIBOU - Shirley M. Perrier, 93, died peacefully Nov. 4, 2015 after an extended illness. She was born July 12,1922 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of A Wade and Beulah (Churchill) Marshall.

She was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. Shirley was a RN working for 36 years at Ft Fairfield Community General Hospital then TAMC in Presque Isle. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, FF Hospital Guild, Ladies Auxiliary VFW and Eastern Star Lunar Chpt #126. Shirley will be remembered for her spunk and ability to make people laugh. She loved family gatherings, scheming good practical jokes, playing cribbage and always getting "the cut."

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Albair and her husband William of Hampden, one son-in-law, Idris Lawrence of Glenburn, two grandchildren, Jered Albair and his wife Amy of Aldie, VA and Margaux Albair and her husband, Amar Singh, of Chicago, six great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Susan Lawrence, one grandson, John Lawrence, three brothers, Winston (Bud) Sr., US Army S Sgt Thomas, and George Marshall.
