Shirley 'Sissy''s Story
- Shirley Anne 'Sissy' Heath, 53, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was an angel gifted by God to her parents Sheldon and Sandra Heath on May 21, 1964, and she would remain with them for her 53 years on earth. She was truly "Heaven's Special Child". Her family is blessed for all of the gifts she bestowed upon them. Her gifts of patience, humility, kindness, humor, and, most importantly, the gift of loving unconditionally.
In her younger years, Sissy enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics where she won numerous awards for swimming, basketball and bowling. Her love of family was apparent in everything that she did, and her infectious smile and laugh will be missed by all who knew and loved her, including her constant companion and protector, her dog "Goofy". Sissy was always up for a big hug to anyone who greeted her. When you had the pleasure of meeting and knowing her, you knew she would always be someone you would remember with deep love and affection.
Sissy is survived by her parents, Sheldon (Pal) and Sandra (Angel) Heath, siblings Shelby Heath and Shelly and Robert Reilly, a very special niece, Emily Reilly, and numerous aunts, uncles and special cousins.
At the request of family, memorial contributions can be made in Sissy's honor to: Children's Dyslexia Centers, Inc., 294 Union Street, Bangor, ME 04401 c/o Laurie Marcotte. An additional request of the family is that for any friend, family member or stranger reading this, please conduct one random act of kindness in Sissy's honor.
There will be no formal funeral services, however, there will be a private family celebration at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, Bucksport, Maine.
