GARLAND ME & DALLAS TX - Sara M. Libby, 101, died August 6, 2014 of complications from shingles in Dallas, Texas. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip Libby. She was born in Garland, Maine, and taught home economics in Windham, Maine, and first grade in Milford and Brewer, Maine. She ran a canning factory in Massachusetts in World War II, was a home demonstration agent for the extension service in northern Maine and dietician for the Belfast, Maine schools. She has lived more recently in Florida and Dallas, Texas. She is survived by daughters,Lois Libby (husband, Jim Boyhen); Janice Young; grandchildren, Jon Young (wife, Ginny); and Jay Young; great grandchildren include Aaron(Claudia), Hunter, Hudsen, and Harper Young. Tucker Young is a great, great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at the Restland Funeral Home, Wildwood Chapel, in Dallas at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 9. Details of a memorial service in Old Town, Maine will be announced.
