TROY - Sandra Ann Hodgdon, 50, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 11, 2014, at her home surrounded by family. She was born March 3, 1964, in Waterville, the daughter of Roger Charles and Doris Verna (Reynolds) Hodgdon Sr.
She worked for many years in construction, advanced to foreman for local companies including HE Sargent, Sargent & Sargent, Thibodeau, and Black Brothers. Sandra enjoyed fishing, kayaking, sewing, gardening and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends.
She is survived by her best friend and companion, Darrell Dawson; two daughters, Rebecca Dunton of Troy, and Heather Richardson of Troy; son, Steve Richardson and wife, Kristen, of Clinton; sister, Catherine Page and husband, Robert, of Palmyra; two brothers, Roger Hodgdon Jr. of Troy, and Steve Hodgdon Sr. of Troy; grandsons, Blaine, Parker, Dylan, and Garrett; granddaughters, Kayleigh, Alanna, and Lily; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Dixmont Gold Crest Riders Snowmobile Club, Dixmont. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations in Sandra's memory to the Sandra A. Hodgdon Memorial Fund, care of Rebecca Dunton, 278 Rutland Road, Troy, ME 04987.
