Sally Ann Gould Eastman died August 23, 2016 at a Bangor Hospital after a brief illness. Sally was born in Bangor on May 25, 1951 to Dr. Philip and Shirley (Harpe) Gould who preceded her in death. She married Sheldon Eastman in 1970 in Bucksport. Sheldon also preceded her in death. They had one son of whom they were most proud Sean Frederick Eastman and one special grandson Spencer Frederick Eastman. Sally also had two protective brothers Dr. William Gould of Calais and James Gould of Canton, GA. She was blessed with 4 nephews and 6 nieces. She also leaves a caring mother-in-law Thelma Eastman of Verona Island and sister-in-law Reginald Gunn, lifelong best friends Judy and Glenn Findlay. A special thank you to Greg Farmer, who which she had a special bond with, and very much appreciated his help in the yard.
Sally began school in Orland and graduated from Bucksport High School in 1969. She assisted her father in his dental practice up until his retirement. For the past 10 years she worked at Sunbury in Bangor where she was a caring companion to scores of elderly residents. Sally was also an amazing crafter selling her holiday and clever creations in shops and co-ops in Eastern Maine. She loved dogs and leaves behind Sugar, a loving springer spaniel.
Per Sally's request there will be no services but friends and family are asked to think of her whenever they hear the calling of a loon. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services Bucksport. (mitchelltweedie-young.com)
