- Ruth A. Donaldson, 81, died May 16, 2017, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born April 23, 1936, in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of Edward (E. Kenneth) and Sarah (Bennett) Albaugh.
She graduated from Claymont High School in Delaware. She was proud to be the great-great-granddaughter of Francis Scott Key, author of "The Star Spangled Banner".
Ruth married the "love of her life", Neal McKenzie, September 16, 1956, and they had two children, Evelyn and David McKenzie. She married Wayne Donaldson in 1971, and had a son, Michael Donaldson.
She is survived by her son, Mike and his wife, Martha of Etna, who cared for her during her years of declining health; her daughter, Evelyn Curtis of Pittsfield; a brother, Edward and wife, Jeannie Albaugh of South Weymouth, Mass; grandchildren Angie Curtis, JJ (John Joseph) Curtis, Neal and Bridgette McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Haylee and Logan Curtis; twin nieces, Susan Bennett and family and Karen Albaugh; and a nephew, Larry Albaugh.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents; her stepmother of 50 years, Beatrice (Bea) Folsom Albaugh; her husbands, Neal McKenzie and Wayne Donaldson; a son, David McKenzie; and a great-grandson, Curtis Ramsdell.
