Royce's Story

BRIDGEWATER - Royce C. Shaw, much beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away April 22, 2016 at his home. He was born on June 21, 1953, the son of Charles and Myreta (Antworth) Shaw.

He worked most of his adult years in the woods doing what he loved until retiring for health reasons. He was a hardworking man who took pride in doing a good job and going above and beyond wherever he worked.

His favorite hobby was growing and maintaining a vegetable garden that was admired by many. He was always happy and proud when he could share its bounty by giving it to anyone passing by.

He was always up for a game of cribbage and looked forward to games with his brother and good friends Steve and Marty. Everyone who ever met him eventually was a target for one of his pranks.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jeanne (Parks) Shaw; his much loved sons, Matthew and companion Dawn Charette of Mars Hill, Joshua and Lisa of Fort Kent; grandchildren, Colby, Morgan, Sierra, Joshua, Kailey, Jayden and Hunter Charette; great granddaughter, Cassidy; his mother, Myreta; brother, Wayne and his wife Susan all of Mars Hill; sisters, Brenda Vennart and husband Mike of Bridgewater, and Marcia Boulette and husband Ken of Enfield, CT.
