BREWER - Rosemary (LePage) Landry, 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep July 18, 2014. Rosemary, daughter of Milton and June (Bragdon) LePage, was born Jan. 23, 1932 in Bangor.
Rosemary attended St. John's Catholic School from elementary through junior high and then attended John Bapst Memorial High School in Bangor. Rosemary was very involved in various activities throughout her childhood and high school years. Rosemary had a passion for swimming throughout many years of her life and attended regular aerobics classes right up until her illness. A number of years after raising her five children, Rosemary attended and graduated from the University of Maine in 1974 with a degree in education. Rosemary subsequently received her master degree in education from UMaine. She pursued her teaching career for over twenty years at Hermon Elementary School, where she was extremely respected for her dedication to all the students she taught. Many of her students and their children will always remember the value she brought into their lives. Rosemary served as a Eucharistic Minister to the Homebound and was a daily communicate as well as a member of various catholic organizations including; The Dominican Laity, St. Paul the Apostle Church Woman's Council and the New Catholic Sponsorship. Close friend Joanne Brooks knew Rosemary's passion for serving these groups and the people they affected.
Rosemary was predeceased by her youngest son, Christopher Landry, mother, June, father, Milton, brother, Donald LePage, sister, Jeanette (LePage) Allen and her special daughter-in-law, Patricia (Nelligan) Landry. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Landry and sons, Steve and wife, Canri, Larry, Mike and wife, Maria and Tom and wife, Rosemary, her brother, Robert LePage, sisters, Barbara (LePage) Simpson and Pricilla (LePage) Escutia and granddaughter, Khristin Landry and grandson, Christopher Landry.
A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Rosemary's life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John's Catholic Church in Bangor. A reception will immediately follow the service. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer.
