- Rose Marie Brooks, known to most as Rosie, passed away unexpectedly, June 7, 2017, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Bangor, November 18, 1952, the daughter of Francis and Georgianna (Young) Brooks.
Rosie received a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Maine, Orono, and went on to teach elementary school in Bradley. She was an active member of the Bradley community, even serving as Town Manager for several years. Rosie was also a longtime member of the Bradley Fire Department, and always supported the firefighters by providing food and coffee to those in action.
Rosie is survived by her son, Casey Brooks and his wife, Krissi; Rosie's beloved grandchildren, Makayla, Konner, Cassandra and Eric; her sister, Ida Clarke; special nieces and nephews, Wendy and husband, Joe, Matt and wife, Julie, Chris and wife, Jimmi-Joy; as well as many other extended family members. She will also be missed by many special friends, including, Cindi, Dale, Cheryl, Deedy, Flan Man and Julie. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Francis A. Brooks; and a brother in law, Russell Clarke.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Birmingham, 438 Main St., Old Town. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bradley, 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017, with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Bradley. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow services with location to be announced on day of service.
