Rosalinde's Story

CORINNA - Rosalinde J. Parker, 77, died July 5, 2015 at a Dexter heath care facility. She was born July 10, 1937 in Erlangen, Germany, a daughter of Wilhelm and Margarete (Schott) Wolfel. On June 19, 1954, she married Wilfred Parker. She attended a trade school in Germany for 2 years and received her GED at Nokomis Regional High in Newport.

She had been employed at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna, the Dexter Shoe Company, and as a cook at several area restaurants. Rosalinde retired as a cook from Dexter Health Care after 22 years. She attended the First Baptist Church of Pittsfield.

In addition to her husband of 61 years, she is survived by 2 sons, Bill and wife Erin Parker of Gulfport, Mississippi and Gerald Parker of Killeen, TX; 3 daughters, Christa Parker of Corinna, Regina Graham, Audrine and husband Wyman Bunker, all of Newport; a sister, Elsa Kahler of Barre, Ontario, Canada; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Timothy Parker; a brother Joseph Wolfel; and a great grandson, Dominic Kuntz.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, July 9th at the First Baptist Church of Pittsfield, with Associate Pastor Alex Oakes officiating. Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of the services. Burial will follow at the Morse's Corner Cemetery, Corinna.
