Ros was born in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania on March 22, 1916, the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Esther Meta (Scheer) Williams; she lived most of her life in West Hartford, Connecticut. She attended the Samuel Fleisher Art School and the Graphic Sketch Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was active in civic and community affairs; she was a member of the West Hartford Garden Club, the West Hartford Women's Club, the Town and County Club, the New Britain Museum and the Wadsworth Atheneum where she was a volunteer in the restoration department. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Congregational in West Hartford, Connecticut and the Women's Auxiliary of the Salvation Army where she did volunteer work for many years.
Ros is survived by her daughter, Heather Frazier Tooker and her husband Adin of Brooksville, Maine; two grandsons, Adin Morris Tooker, his wife Jennifer and great grandchildren Jack, Riley and Nicole from Westport CT, and John Frazier Tooker, his wife Megan and great grandsons, Quinn and Tate from Bellefonte PA; and a granddaughter Lisha Frazier Begell and great grandsons, Dylan and Logan. She is predeceased by her husband, John P. Frazier Jr., her brother, George B. Williams, her sister Beatrice Meade; and her son, John P. Frazier III.
Throughout her life Ros had two major passions, art and cooking. Her father was an accomplished artist and he had numerous well known artists as friends. Ros carried those same artistic skills through her life and into her community service and museum work.
Ros' meals and parties were legendary among her family and friends. She was an exceptional cook with firm ideas what constituted a well cooked meal or celebratory gathering. No one left her home hungry.
A private burial service will be held at the convenience of the family at Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford, Connecticut. Memorial contributions may be made to Island Nursing Home, 587 North Deer Isle Road, Deer Isle, Maine 04627 or Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County, 14 McKensie Avenue, Ellsworth, Maine 04605.
