Rosalie's Story

EAGLE LAKE - Rosalie Cunningham, 69, died peacefully May 20, 2014 at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 18, 1944, in Augusta, the daughter of Elmer and Eleanor Marie (Sheldon) Cunningham.

She resided in Pownell, for 39 years then relocated to the Aroostook County in 1990, living in Presque Isle for a brief period of time. She lived most recently at the Marcoux Home in Eagle Lake where she had been living since 1994.

She has two brothers, two sisters and one special cousin who Rosie would send monthly letters to.

Rosie had a happy and humorous disposition. She loved strawberry milk, wearing hats, music, dancing and swimming at the local pool in Eagle Lake. She also enjoyed having her nails and hair done and looking at decorations for each and every holiday.

She will be dearly missed by the many dedicated caring staff who provided support to her during her residency at the Marcoux Home and also by her many friends and peers who lived with Rosie. Her memory will be honored by her peers and people that supported her at a later date. Rosie's interment will be will her family in Hallowell, at a later date. Arrangements are a service of Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
